Daily B: Britney Talks Las Vegas and New “Hip-Hop” Album in Shape Magazine

The Legendary Miss Britney Spears‘ issue of Shape hasn’t hit shelves yet…except, uh, in Minnesota?

Earlier this week, Shape premiered the cover of their June issue featuring Brit Brit, as well as a few teases of the upcoming issue for Entertainment Tonight. But the issue is apparently being (accidentally?) sold in some places in America, and reader/Godney stan Miles D. has graciously sent over the full scans of the issue. (Thanks, bb!)

Check out the full scans below, including the fierce spread of Boxerney, B’s workout playlist (part Fire Island, part iTunes Top 10), and glimpses of Godney’s favorite yoga poses (presumably from her upcoming workout DVD, I’m Not A Beginner, Not Yet A Yogi.) Plus, there’s a few tiny tidbits about Vegas, a single sentence about Album 8—and her buns.

Check it out!

On making her own decisions because that’s her prerogative…

Since I was a little girl, being active and taking care of myself has been a part of who I am. So when I’ve been heavier or I haven’t met my own standards, it’s been a personal choice to get back in shape — not because of anyone else’s opinions.

On time-traveling speed backwards on the treadmill to achieve dat ass…

My favorite way to tone my butt is going in reverse on the treadmill and the elliptical. It targets those muscles that are often overlooked. Yeah, that’s my big secret: Do everything backwards!

On her upcoming residency in Vegas…

Take one look at Britney Spears and it’s clear she’s never been in better shape. “I’m working out really hard for my upcoming shows in Vegas,” the singer says of her two-year engagement at Planet Hollywood, which should open by fall. “The performances won’t be special—they’ll be a massive party from start to finish. And to pull this off, I have to be in top condition and running at full speed.”

“I’m excited because the shows will have state-of-the-art technology and be really cutting-edge. But a big part of my decision to do this was my boys. When they’re not with me in Nevada, I can hop on a plane and be with them in Los Angeles in 45 minutes.”

On Album 8, also known as Blackout 2.0: It Gets Urbaner

She recorded the single “Ooh La La” for this summer’s family comedy The Smurfs 2, and is currently in the studio working on her eighth CD. While a release date hasn’t been scheduled, the word from Britney is that “the record is definitely going to be more hip-hop than pop this time around.”

“More hip-hop than pop this time around.”

And remember, will.i.am: Don’t fuck it up.

If anyone needs me, I’ll be in Vegas for the next 2 years.
