JoJo’s “When Love Hurts” Video: A Fierce Ode to Spirit Fingers

JoJo would like to give you a hand…or twenty.

JoJo, Queen of Tringles, would like to give you a hand…or twenty.

In what is her first real Choreographed Video Moment, Joanna and her crew of talented dancers serve up handiwork aplenty inside an abandoned warehouse of sorts for the Benny Blanco and Jason Evigan-produced “When Love Hurts,” the first release from her 3-part emancipation summer single.

Not only does she look entirely fierce in her fashion-forward lewks (lots of YAS KWEN shots — and also, why do I feel like she refused to take off that cape even after the shoot wrapped?), but she also handles all the handography and fluttering fingers like a pro, serving subtle “Vogue” moments — all with a signature sass that keeps this one feeling thoroughly JoJo. (That opening sneer? So Jo.)

Body on fleek. Spirit fingers on flick. Disco diva in the making. Consider the career path, JoJo.
