Nothing to wake me from blogger boy coma quite like an announcement about Exodus.
Hikaru Utada – also known singularly as Utada, at least for a time back in my day – is, incredibly, rounding out their vinyl campaign this summer with the release of their two English studio albums: 2004’s Exodus, and 2009’s This Is The One.
On Friday (April 10), Team Hikki made the official announcement that both albums are being remastered (!) and issued on vinyl for the first time (!!!), as well as being made available in CD and digital download formats.
The CD versions for both albums will be a double CD format, with CD 2 “expected to include bonus tracks and remixes from various countries at the time of the original release.”
I’m telling myself that it’s just going to be remixes and edits of remixes that we’ve already heard already, because if there’s even a morsel of unreleased music from that era coming, I’ll actually have a full meltdown.
If you’re a longtime Muuser, you might already know how much Exodus means to me. And if you don’t, now you do.
(And yes, I already pre-ordered the vinyl and CD versions of both. It’s really that serious.)
