Yay–it’s here!

Check out Lolene‘s major music video premiere above with her debut single, “Rich (Fake It ‘Til You Make It).”

The clip is chock full of glittering gems, tall glasses of bubbly, and wads upon wads of cash–but what else could you possibly expect from the girl?

I’m so proud of you, Miss Foo Foo!

The Electrick Hotel will be released on October 2010, and trust me–once you check in, you ain’t never gonna want to leave.

M83 makes beautiful, epic French electronic music that makes you question life and weep for hours.

On July 5, Naïve Records will be releasing the soundtrack for French film Black Heaven (L’Autre Monde), which was partially scored by M83. The soundtrack will include five of the artist’s previously released tracks, as well as two new ones: “Black Hole” and “Marion’s Theme.”

You can now hear “Black Hole” streaming for free in full above. (Allow the widget a few moments to load.) It’s quite beautiful and mysterious, as with everything M83 does.

And that is that.

Hello.

This is Martin Solveig‘s new single, “Hello,” featuring vocals from Martina Sorbara, who is perhaps best known for putting the “ette” in Dragonette.

Above is the newly released video for the song, which features Solveig, fellow French DJ Bob Sinclar, and a whole host of tennis players whose names I can’t pronounce.

The result is a cheeky, Wes Anderson-esque kind of clip, featuring some very silly dialogue and campy over-acting. The video was actually filmed in front of the audience of 12,000 at this year’s French Open–neat!

Oh yes, and the song itself is fresh to death. I certainly wouldn’t mind hearing this one on the dance floor.

It should be noted that this isn’t the first time Solveig and Sorbara have teamed up: Check out their equally delicious stormer from last June, “Boys and Girls,” right here.

Martin Solveig’s new album, Smash, is due out later this year.

It’s here! Britney‘s line for Candie’s has finally debuted.

Above, check out the TV commercial for B’s brand new Candie’s campaign. It includes no less than three references to her own songs, as well as a few fleeting moments of Brit Brit epicness. (Hair tosses, sassy walking! AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING).

Check out the official website to view the full line, backstage clips, and a truly dorky runway show.

In the words of my idol: “COOL!”

WHY LOOK: IT’S KELIS IN SPACE!

As suggested in the behind-the-scenes video, the video clip for Benny Benassi‘s latest single is a whole lot of CGI-tastic, intergalactic goodness. It’s very Alien meets Star Trek meets every sci-fi production ever.

That is all.

filed under: Fefe Dobson, Jordin Sparks, Kelly Clarkson, Video Premiere

It’s been seven years since Fefe Dobson first debuted on the music scene, but her name never really altogether disappeared from sight.

There’d always been rumblings of Dobson’s presence, whether as a result of her lost tracks being serviced to other artists (“Don’t Let It Go To Your Head” to Jordin Sparks, for instance) or the ill-fated 2006 sophomore attempt, Sunday Love (which never saw the light of day).

“Ghost” is a very good, very catchy pop song, featuring some growling hooks and a rather menacing bridge (“What’s her name? What’s she like? Would you leave her in the middle of the night?”)

It sounds sort of like an electronic take on a Kelly Clarkson number, though perhaps a little sassier. The video is equally so, as Dobson goes ghoulish (and also quite sexy on the hood of a car!) to try and get revenge on her dirty scoundrel of an ex. I approve of this sort of thing.

The follow-up to Dobson’s debut, Joy, will be released later this summer. Fingers crossed!
