This probably won’t go over well, but I’ve decided it’s necessary to channel what most fans are already thinking.
Here goes nothing…
Remember these two sexy specimens of Aussieland synth-pop goodness? If not, please refer back to their “Introduucing…” post immediately.
Garçon Garçon are finally preparing to launch their much anticipated 2011 debut, beginning with the release of their first official single: “Stay In Touch.”
Yesterday, the bearded boys premiered their brand new song over at one of MuuMuse’s favorite blogs, It’s The Money Shot!, which you can now hear below:
“Stay In Touch” finds the duo grappling with the ceaseless back-and-forth of a relationship on the rocks. “How long can we last before it’s over?” Nathan sadly croons, growing increasingly torn and tortured as the song unfolds.
If that luscious, Cut Copy-like synth beat wasn’t so damn infectious, I might have been writing this one while crumpled up and crying in the corner somewhere. Luckily, all I want to do is DANCE! What relationship problems?! These aren’t tears–just sweat! LAY OFF.
Though they’ve only got one single and two demos under their belt, it sounds as though Garçon Garçon have already hit their stride and established a ‘signature’ sound for themselves: Sweetly sung, slightly sorrowful lyricism fixed atop ’80′s-tinged heartbreak synth-pop. It’s like stretching a Smiths track across a Casio keyboard–sad disco at its finest!
Much like their demos, “Stay In Touch” is required listening. Just don’t forget to pack a Kleenex while you’re out on the dance floor.
Garçon Garçon will release their debut EP later this year. (Official Website)

Screw the heart-shaped chocolates and red roses. This Valentine’s Day, why not give the one you love a nice, thick slice of throbbing bass instead?
On February 14, Jessie Malakouti of Jessie and the Toy Boys will release her debut single, “Push It”–a glitchy, glittering slice of hi-octane pop that’s got the blogosphere seriously buzzing over the past few weeks.
Now, MuuMuse is proud to Excluusively premiere the Richard Vission “Push It” remix.
So you’re already diggin’ the original, right? Just hang tight: Featuring even more vocal stutters and a truckload of super-sized gritty synthesizers, Vission’s mix gives Jessie’s debut single a nasty slap on the bass that’ll have your little dancing feet feeling raw in no time! SCREAM AND SHOUT!
So remember: This Valentine’s Day, give the gift of “Push It.” You’ll get dick like Ron Jeremy, yo!
“Push It” will be released to iTunes on February 14. (Official Website)
Choreographer Brian Friedman spoke to MTV today about the upcoming clip for Britney‘s #1 global smash, “Hold It Against Me.”
You’ll want to read the entire article to really feel all the tingles (and no, he didn’t confirm the release date yet), but the most important tease is right here:
While Friedman danced around any specific details about the clip, he did share that the video will have 10 male dancers. He also told us his favorite part: “I love nudity,” he teased.
“I can tell you that Britney is wearing a couple of hats in this video — not literal hats, but she’s playing roles in this video. That is what I can give you,” he explained. “In every role, she is dancing. She is going to be dancing throughout the whole video. Like I said: Dance is the focal point of this video.”
He also teased a bit about the costumes: “She’s taking fashion risks. Things we’ve never seen her wear before she’s wearing in this video, and I think it’s just very sexy and it’s a little bit playful,” he added. “She’s going to be doing something in this video that we’ve never seen her do. I’m not gonna tell you what that is but she’s going to be sweating and she’s going to be getting bruised and battered.”
SWEATNEY.
NUDENEY.
BRUISEDNEY.
JESUS LUZ–that description! What’s something she’s never done before? With ten men? That’s gotten her sweaty, battered and bruised?
WHAT KIND OF SEX CARNIVAL IS THIS, BRITNEY?!
I’m literally dying right now. Like, lit-rally. Please, someone…WATER. WATER!
WE ARE NOT WORTHY.
If I said that Christian TV’s greatest accomplishment to date was being mentioned in one of Britney’s tweets, would you hold it against me?
To be fair, Christian TV’s first single, “When She Turns 18,†did create a minor splash upon its release. After all, it was easily the catchiest jailbait-celebrating pop song since Jesse McCartney’s 2006 hit single (note: neither a hit nor a single) “Daddy’s Little Girl.†But CTV’s song mostly generated buzz due to the sleazy chi-mo bent of its lyrics, and the hype quickly dissipated. To these ears, the song, though pleasant enough, failed to resonate due to its lack of a memorable chorus — I’ve listened to it many times and still couldn’t hum the hook for you. CTV’s fame reached its spectacular zenith in June 2010, when the Holy Spearit memorably tweeted the following sentence (which had nothing, I repeat, nothing to do with pressure from her label/management/PR, and was only the consequence of the Queen B’s endlessly benevolent spirit):
Sitting with Jason. He just played me my favorite new song of the summer “When She Turns 18″by @christiantv http://mysp.ac/doO9Km – Brit
Even with Brit’s support, though, “When She Turns 18†flopped on the charts. Fortunately, I don’t think CTV is going to need anyone’s help to turn “Love2Baby†into a certified smash. The track is bombastic, deliciously derivative, and every bit as filthy as “When She Turns 18,†without the distasteful statutory rape undertones. Lyrically, the song appropriates every poppin’-bottles-in-the-club party cliche in the book, while sonically, it’s the bastard lovechild of “Dynamite†and “Yeah 3X,†managing to feel utterly familiar but not altogether stale. Basically, it sounds like the product of months of exhaustive market research and consumer testing with the singular goal of creating the perfect club anthem. And to think, without Britney’s help, it would never have been possible. Yet another victory for the Holy Spearit.
“Love2Baby” will be released later this year. (iTunes)
It’s all coming together now!
Adam Leber took to Twitter tonight to tell us a few things:
@BritneySpears did a photoshoot for her album package yesterday. Photos are nothing less than spectacular. We’ll share some soon….So many good things coming down the pipeline. Britney fans should be excited. Album is incredible, video is fire, photoshoot is pure glam. Patience isn’t just a great song by Guns N’ Roses. All good things to those who wait….
Everybody hates waiting (especially Britney), but it’s almost time to begin. Doesn’t our girl always make it worth the wait?
2011: Year of the Spears.

X Factor sensation and future legendary teenage superstar The Almighty Lloyd‘s debut album is slated to drop in August of this year, according to today’s new listings on both HMV and Amazon.co.uk.
What’s more? That delicious image at top of this post is currently being used as the tentative cover art.
Honestly, I can’t even handle the sheer joy surging through my bodeh (say it like Britney does in “Hold It Against Me”).
OVERJOYED.
Thanks to M Is For Music for noticing the listings!
FLAWLESS.
There are times when a photo appreciation post proves necessary. This is one of those times.
Here we have Jennifer Lopez posing for Roberto Cavalli, the photo book commemorating the 40th anniversary of the legendary Italian fashion house.
The photo was taken by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot, the same photography duo responsible for J-Lo’s stunning Spring 2011 Gucci campaign featuring her babies, Max and Emme.
I absolutely adore this photograph. Simply stunning!
Roberto Cavalli was released on January 25. (Amazon)
