Madonna has a(nother) tale to tell…
After teasing the release all the way back on Valentine’s Day this year, the “Spanish Lesson” icon is, at long last, releasing Bedtime Stories – The Untold Chapter, an 8-track EP marking the 30th-ish anniversary of the 1994 R&B opus – on many days (like today) my favorite all-around record from Her Madgesty.
Incredibly, The Untold Chapter was edited and mixed by Confessions on a Dance Floor maestro Stuart Price, who is currently working with Madonna on their 2026 follow-up. It contains several demos, remixes and unreleased tracks, including the newly released “Right on Time” (try telling that to the gays suing her for performing late!), which she did with one of the album’s main collaborators, Dallas Austin.
The collection is officially out on November 28, and available in a variety of ways, including a black vinyl with postcards, and a 2-CD edition bundled with the original album and a booklet of lyrics and illustrations. Bedtime Stories is also being reissued in silver vinyl. It’s all on her official store right now.
The imagery was shot by Paolo Roversi, who also did the “Bedtime Story” single.
“They were going to be pictures for my album cover…but the people at the record company were all too freaked out; they thought the pictures were too blurry, they weren’t going to read well – whatever,” she told Aperture in 1999.
Between this and Confessions 2, it’s raining Madge.
