The Saturdays The Saturdays Premiere New Single My Heart Takes Over, Reveal On Your Radar Album Details

After adding “bad girl” to their CV with “Notorious” and making the party super naughty on the hot, hot, hot “All Fired Up,” the lovely ladies known collectively as The Saturdays have decided to take the BPM down a few notches with “My Heart Takes Over,” the third single from their upcoming studio album.

The Sats’ latest is a surging power ballad, not at all unlike your standard Leona Lewis/Ryan Tedder production circa 3 years ago (a la “Bleeding Love”). “‘Cause if there’s a chance we might have missed / And if there’s a ray of light in this / Baby you should know that this is where my heart takes over,” the girl powerfully chant during the chorus.

Overall it’s a good song–a fine song even, if not largely unadventurous (especially when compared to the edgier past two single offerings from this era.) Still, as an incredibly radio-friendly production, “My Heart Takes Over” nearly guarantees that the girls are about to have another smash hit single on their hands when released on November 14.

In the meantime, the video for the song will be shot later this week…in Iceland. Perhaps we can expect some Björkian undertones? Probably not, but I can always hold out hope to see Una dancing with a cat one day.

Also released today? The long-awaited details about the Sats’ upcoming third studio album, which has been titled On Your Radar: The album is out on November 21, and will feature production by Space Cowboy, Steve Mac, David Eriksen, Brian Higgins (Xenomania), as well as a feature by Travie McCoy. Yum, yum!

lady gaga model photoshoot roko Favim.com 142203 Lady Gaga to Release Marry the Night as Fifth Single off of Born This Way

You finished with the whole Yuyi the Mermaid thing by now? You done? Okay good, me too.

Lady Gaga might still be unleashing her ceaseless series of art-haus mini-clips in support of her latest Top 10 single “You And I,” but she’s already preparing to release a brand new single from the Born This Way era according to GagaDaily (as well as fan interactions with Gaga stylist Nicola Formichetti): “Marry the Night.”

The Fernando Garibay-produced (“Dance In The Dark”) song is one of the better cuts from Gaga’s second LP. Originally released via GagaVille, Lady Gaga’s FarmVille expansion on Facebook, the song was penned as an open love letter to New York City (did you know Lady Gaga grew up there? You didn’t either?! She never talks about it! I KNOW, RIGHT?!) and features an explosive Whitney Houston-esque chorus, pounding synthesizers, church organs and plenty of that leather wearin’, whiskey drankin rock ‘n’ roll lyricism that Gaga loves ever so dearly.

While I myself remain staunchly Team “Heavy Metal Lover” (my favorite from BTW), I can’t be too mad at this selection for Single #5–it’s a fire track, and I’m always up for supporting a Garibay production.

Still no word on a video just yet, but here’s hoping she straps on a full white Galliano wedding dress and starts rampaging down the streets of NYC, jumping on cars, making out with bikers and eventually jumping down into Brit Brit‘s manhole for a brief “Till The World Ends” dance interlude–now that’s a video I could get behind.

Born This Way was released on May 23. (iTunes)

beyonce 4 Beyonce to Release Yet Another Single from 4: Countdown

She’s already released “Run The World (Girls),” “Best Thing I Never Had” and “1+1″ (as well as their accompanying videos), submitted and then quickly removed her 2011 VMA smash “Love On Top” (which managed to debut at #20 on the Billboard Hot 100) to radio, filmed a video for “Party” in August with Kelly Rowland–and now, Beyoncé‘s releasing yet another single off of 4: “Countdown.”

If you do the math (the “1+1,” if you will), that means Bey’s basically released half her album in less than four months.

According to AllAccess, the Shea Taylor/Cainon Lamb-produced track (which samples Boyz II Men‘s “Uhh Ahh”) will be added to radio on October 4.

“Countdown” is one of the most well-received tracks off of her otherwise not-so-commercial (but MuuMuse Approved) record, so it certainly seems like a wise choice for Team Knowles. But with a Behbehysus on the way, will King B still be capable of delivering a flawless high-energy performance to promote the rowdy uptempo? Or will she resort to some other shenanigans in order to launch the track, like the world’s first ever mother-child sonogram duet?

Can’t say for sure quite yet, but it does beg the question…

KatieHerzig ChairBlackOutfit HiRes Interview with...Katie Herzig!

Last week, singer/songwriter Katie Herzig released her fifth studio album, The Waking Sleep. On this record, the Grammy Award-nominated chanteuse abandoned her signature melancholy acoustic-driven sound in favor of matured and complex dark electronica layered with contemporary folk pop. The result? A near flawless compilation of music guaranteed to secure a prominent spot on the year-end list of anyone who gives it a listen.

I caught up with Katie about everything from her creative process, to what it feels like to be featured on so many film and television soundtracks, to plans about her current headlining tour.

rihannaswarm Rihanna Gets Swarmed By Hundreds of Fans in Ireland, Keeps Calm and Carries On

Remember the good ol’ (read: horrifying) days back in ’07/’08 when TMZ would run those videos of Britney being chased down by rabid paparazzi during her daily run to Starbucks, shutting down traffic completely and accidentally running over a foot with her car in the process? Time for some déjà vu.

Click here to watch footage from the BBC of Rihanna shooting the video for “We Found Love” in Northern Ireland yesterday.

After stirring up some drama in the countryside with an uppity farmer who didn’t care to see her lady bits dangling in her crops (SERIOUSLY?), RiRi got a little more lovin’ from the local citizenry than she probably bargained for while shooting in the New Lodge area of North Belfast.

From the BBC:

She has cavorted in a north Down field, she has eaten fish and chips in the city centre and on Tuesday Rihanna completed an unlikely hat-trick by appearing in the New Lodge area of north Belfast. The multi-million selling R&B star filmed the next segment of her latest video in amongst the New Lodge flats. And she was mobbed between takes as fans desperately tried to get close to their hero.

As you can see in the video, upon exiting the car during the shoot, Rihanna started to wave to a few eager fans as she walked by until they just sort of started…charging, leading her to put her hand up and shout: “STOP!” Of course they didn’t, and hundreds more immediately piled in and began shouting, throwing their camera phones up in her face and attempting to go in and touch the singer.

But this is Rihanna we’re talking about–the baddest bitch in heels right here! The G4L! She kept her cool throughout, although obviously a bit nervous, quickly conversing with her security outfit to seemingly try to plot the best way to get out of a bad situation.

And just like a boss bitch does, RiRi promptly turned on her heels and charged right on back to safety–a sea of shrieking fans following after her like a buzzing swarm.

That Rihanna reign…

On September 16, MuuMuse and GUMBO NYC teamed up for #GUMBOPOP, an artist showcase/dance party featuring performances by Chris Salvatore, Neon Hitch, and the flaw-free goddess herself: Nadine Coyle of Girls Aloud!

But before Coyle took to the stage early Saturday morning, she took a seat (and took off her shades!) backstage for a sit-down chat with me before her performance, which you can now watch above.

Queen Nadine and I chit-chatted all about her latest solo moves–from her work with Dave Aude, to “Don Julio”–the brand new tequila-inspired track she premiered onstage later that night–as well as Excluusively revealing an incredible career coup to MuuMuse: She’s writing for Celine Dion‘s upcoming comeback record! M-A-J-O-R!

For a semi-unedited version of our interview (sounds dirty, isn’t) with even more juicy details–including tales of Fashion Week and her dinner with Perez Hilton and Tyra Banks–check out the extended interview here.

It’s always a pleasure to chat with Mizz Nadine. She’s so sweet and completely genuine…and hilarious too!

Thanks again, Nadine!

Many thanks to Nadine Coyle, Thomas Martin, Canal Room, 42Below Vodka, Gild Hall Hotel, The Six Pack, Platinum Salon at Hotel on Rivington, Limo Nerd, Nicholas Ruiz and Ben Harvey & Casey Fitzpatrick of GUMBO NYC for making this night possible!
